After attending my cousin’s wedding, where she had made her own mints for her guests, I just knew I wanted to do the same for my wedding. Homemade mints are so much better than the plain, store-bought mints I’d had at other weddings. Two years later, when my own wedding rolled around, I found a heart-shaped mold at a local craft store. The mold came with a recipe for making your own mints, so I bought the other ingredients needed and got to work. One night about two weeks before my wedding, my mom, grandma, and I sat around the kitchen table making hundreds of mints and gabbing the whole time. That is definitely a great memory for me.
