Consider shopping at second hand stores for the wedding gown. You can buy a beautiful dress for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and usually there are several to choose from in each store.
No one will know that the dress is not brand new–so why not check these stores? If a dress is too large then you can have it taken in the same way brides do when being fitted for a new gown. Take the dress to a reputable dry cleaner to have it cleaned and pressed before the wedding, also, so it will be fresh and lovely for your special day.
Remember, these dresses have only been worn once, so they are normally in very good condition, so why not save your money and find the dress of your dreams, all at the same time–at a second hand store.
A bride will look just as beautiful in a $40 dress as she would in a $4,000 one!
